Destination Wilderness is known for its attention to detail and top-notch
trips. For over 20 years, Ken Streater, the owner of Destination Wilderness,
has been creating and setting high standards of quality in the adventure travel
industry. We have innovated many customer quality aspects to wilderness
travel, such as being the only Oregon outfitter that runs at least two boats on
every trip to make sure that the trip is the safest possible, even if there are
only enough passengers to fill one raft (we have a second safety boat guided by
a guide to provide a safety net and additional customer service). We also
created and use Shower Huts so that you can take a warm shower in the middle of
nowhere. These little touches, and big ones too like always serving fresh,
delicious food fit for royalty, are what set us apart.
 Our friendly office staff is genuinely concerned
about you. We want to help you choose the right vacation and then make sure
that your wants and needs are provided for. Our "behind the scenes" crew spends
a ton of time "on the scene". That translates to the office understanding and
accurately representing the trips we run and being able to answer questions
fully and honestly. We care about each interaction you have with us from
first contact to trip's farewell. As such, a real person answers the phone
and patiently responds to all of your questions with care and understanding.
