Dear Adventure Enthusiast,
Welcome to Destination
Wilderness! We are glad you found us and we look forward to providing you with
a first-rate wilderness adventure travel trip! Our philosophy and approach to
wilderness adventure travel is simple and founded in 20 years of experience
running global adventures: provide the best possible outdoor adventures in the
most spectacular and majestic wilderness areas on earth. We do this by
employing guides, many of whom have worked with us for over
ten years, who are regarded by their peers and clients alike as among the best
in the wilderness adventure travel business, operating with a focus on safety
and your absolute enjoyment, and visiting only places of unmatched charm and
incomparable beauty. We offer trips that range from one to fifteen days, in
wilderness areas near and far.
These are the features that set us apart. Our guides are
renowned wilderness adventure travel leaders. Creators of international guide
schools, authors of definitive guidebooks, and licensed naturalists, each is
certified in First Aid and CPR and has a special quality and caring approach
that results in well run and perfectly memorable journeys. In addition, each
trip we run is operated in a way that provides you with an unforgettably smooth
immersion into the wild place you are visiting. And, as you will see throughout
this brochure, our destinations are selected for their incredible beauty and
value as natural places, so much so that most have been legislated to remain
forever wild. Simply put, we offer exceptional wilderness journeys, with
exceptional guides, to exceptional places.
We invite you to join us on one
or more of our many wilderness adventure travel journeys: rafting Idaho's
magnificent and remote Salmon river; boating the pristine waters of
Alaska's Prince
William Sound; discovering the culture and wilderness of dramatic
Norway;
rafting glacier-lined rivers in the solitude of Alaska's
Wrangell-St. Elias
National Park; floating Oregon's enchanting and historic
Rogue river;
hiking and river running on fiery and friendly Iceland; whitewater rafting on one of the
Pacific
Northwest's many great rivers: the
McKenzie,
Lower
Klamath, Upper Klamath,
California
Salmon, Umpqua, Owyhee, and the
Clackamas; paddling the turquoise tropical waters of
sunny Hawaii; and whale watching and kayaking in
Baja. We are
confident that our offerings can match the adventure ideal that you have been
seeking, and we look forward to sharing wilderness adventures with you.
